Leashes' founder Kathleen Newton has worked with companion animals through most of her professional life. A graduate of Marist College with a degree in Business Management, her previous career was that of managing municipal animal services. She now shares her dog and cat expertise with Leashes' clients, both human and animal. Kathleen has studied dog and cat behavior with experts from national agencies such as the Humane Society of the United States, the ASPCA, and the American Humane Association.

MEET OUR ASSOCIATES:

Having a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from her birth country of Germany, and also having had experience working in clients’ homes as an au pair, Birgit B. has a great appreciation for honoring the requests and expectations of her clients, and she takes that responsibility very seriously. Birgit appreciates that each pet is unique and has individual needs, likes and dislikes, and she designs her care around this philosophy. If your pet loves exercise, Birgit will address that. If he loves play and training, that will be Birgit’s focus. And if you have a sweetheart of a pet who just wants attention, Birgit will make sure that she leaves her feeling special and loved. Birgit and her husband Vincent work for Leashes as Team Bonanno for some evening and weekend visits and our lucky furry clients get twice the fun for the price of one! They share their home with their black German Shepherd Emma and their Himalayan cat Rosemary, who lives the good life...and Birgit will give your pet the care that Rosemary thinks is exclusive to her!
