MEET OUR ASSOCIATES:

Erica B. is a lifelong animal lover who has a special love for cats, and they for her.  A lifetime of living with her own pets, as well as caring for those of her friends and family, has taught her a lot about their care and their needs.  She has also done volunteer work at area animal shelters.  Erica is a responsible caregiver who takes her commitment to clients’ pets as seriously as she does the care of her own Lab/Dachshund mix Chloe and her two pampered cats, Abby and Peanut Butter.  Erica is a graduate of SUNY New Paltz with a BS in Marketing and works as a Marketing Coordinator for a local company.  Erica’s organizational skills, open-mindedness, motivation and love for animals make her a tremendous asset to Leashes and to Leashes’ pet clients’ happiness.

Cindy P.  has broad experience working with dogs and cats as a manager for a municipal animal services office.  This experience has made her comfortable handling dogs and cats of all breeds and personalities and has also honed her ability to effectively problem solve in a wealth of situations.  She has studied dog and cat care and behavior with Sue Sternberg, canine temperament assessment expert and owner of Rondout Valley Kennels; as well as with experts from national agencies such as the Humane Society of the United States, the ASPCA, and the American Humane Association.  Cindy has personally fostered hundreds of orphaned kittens and placed them in loving permanent homes.  When her own pet cats are agreeable, Cindy also boards small dogs in her home for vacationing dog owners.
